Malerier af: Flemming Hjøllund I de seneste år er det dybde, struktur, farve og ro Så ofte jeg kan, rejser jeg til Bornholm hvor jeg bruger det meste af tiden på at udforske den mangfoldige natur som øen byder på. Det er en sprække i en Bornholmsk klippesætning, et stenbrud, et enkelt fragment af en sten, eller en lysning dybt inde i skoven, som inspirerer mig. Fællesnævneren er, at gå tæt på naturen. Når man går tæt på naturen, byder den på en "uorden" som gør, den kan anskues fra mange vinkler. Et af mine mål er at ramme den samme tilfældighed, hvorfor en række af malerierne er signeret på bagsiden, så de kan vendes efter smag og temperament. Ofte bruger jeg arbejdsredskaber, som er kreeret til hvert enkelt maleri, hvor malingen bliver lagt, lag på lag, for at opnå dybde og fremhæve den "uorden" og de "tilfældigheder" inspirationskilderne byder på. Materialevalget er heller ikke tilfældigt. Ofte bruger jeg Neksø sten, for at skabe det rustikke, massive som f.eks. klipper har. Der er ikke langt fra en lille klippehule, til forestillingen om vore forfædres liv i hulerne, hvor hulemaleriet var en stor del af deres kultur. Derfor er det ikke tilfældigt, hvis man i nogen af malerierne kan fornemme noget, som minder om hulemalerier. Et af mine mål er at give fantasien frie muligheder. Defor har jeg bestræbt mig på, at mine motiver ikke med sikkerhed skal ligne noget bestemt. Et godt abstrakt maleri er, efter min mening, det maleri som ændrer sig fra time til time, alt efter hvordan lyset ændrer sig. - det er mit håb beskueren kan finde den samme ro til fordybelse, som jeg selv føler, når jeg mener et af mine malerier er færdigt. Flemming Hjøllund: født. 1955 Var i sin ungdom en stor del af kultur miljøet i Hvidovre, blandt andet gennem den bruger styrede forening HIPS Stod i lære som bygningsmaler i 1972, men fandt ud af, at det ikke var vægge, men malerier han skulle male. Har arbejdet inden for Børn & Unge området siden 1977 og uddannede sig i 1982 som fritidspædagog. Har i arbejdet med børn & unge, brugt maleriet som pædagogisk redskab, sideløbende med udviklingen af sine egne værker.

In recent years, the main themes of my paintings have been depth, structure, color and peace. As often as possible I travel to Bornholm where I spend most of my time exploring the multiplicity of nature that the island has to offer. The source of my inspiration may appear as a crevice in a rock, a quarry, the fragment of a stone or a glade in the forest. The focal point is getting close to nature. When you are close to nature you find that the disorder in which it is constructed offers a variety of perspectives. A goal of mine is to strike that same randomness; which is why a number of the paintings are signed on the back so that they can be turned depending on your taste and temper. I frequently use tools created specifically for each painting, layering the paint coating after coating in order to reach depth, and emphasize the disorder and the randomness, which my source of inspiration can offer. My choice of materials is not a coincidence. Often I use Neksø stones with the purpose of creating something rustic and massive such as rocks appear. When in a small rock cave, you are not far from the conception of our ancestors’ lives in the caves in a time where the cave paintings were a great part of their culture. Hence, it is not a coincidence if you in some of my paintings sense a hint of cave paintings. A goal of mine is to give rein to my imagination. Thus, I have made great effort for my art to have a hint of unclarity without a specific motif in mind. To me, a good abstract painting is one that changes from one moment to the next depending on how the light falls. It is my hope that the viewer may find the same tranquility and harmony in the painting that I feel once a painting is completed. Flemming was in his youth a big part of the cultural environment in Hvidovre, among other things through the user managed association, HIPS. In 1972 he started his apprenticeship as a constructional painter but found that it was not walls he was made to paint but canvas. He has worked in the area of children & youth since 1977 and was educated in 1982 as a caretaker. Through his work with children & youth he has used painting as an educational tool along with the development of his own works. Parallel with numerous exhibitions, he has decorated among others: Amagerbanken, Munkekær School and Krogen SFO in Solrød with fair-sized art. Phone: +45 3649 8659 |
